EJB: Supports Environment Ministry’s efforts to boost private sector investment in green economy

Engineer Bassam El-Shenwani, Chairman of the Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB), praised the Ministry of Environment's efforts to support companies investing in green economy projects.

El-Shenwani stated that the EJB supports the Ministry of Environment in implementing its plan for environmental and sustainable projects for the coming period. The association encourages young people and entrepreneurs to invest in various green economy projects and raising awareness of the importance of these projects and the role of the private sector in achieving comprehensive development in Egypt.

He stressed that the support provided by Minister of Environment Dr. Yasmine Fouad to investors and the provision of more opportunities for Egyptian companies contributes to strengthening the principle of partnership between the state and the private sector. This partnership aims to establish various green economy and sustainability projects targeted by the Ministry of Environment, whether in the industrial, agricultural, tourism, nature reserves, or other sectors.

He noted that a delegation from the EJB met with the Minister of Environment, where they reviewed the innovative programs and the support the Ministry provides to companies and investors in green economy projects, as well as the mechanism for providing these opportunities for private sector and entrepreneurial participation through the Ministry's recently established investment unit.

The Minister also presented examples of sustainable projects implemented by the private sector, along with numerous promising investment opportunities in various sectors that are part of the Ministry's plans and directions for the next phase.
