Badya University Faculty of Computer Science Hosts Seminar on Dark Web Secrets

The Faculty of Computer Science at Badya University organized a lecture On Monday, May 6, titled "What's Hidden Could Be Dangerous: Explore the Secrets of the Dark Web." The lecture was delivered by Dr. Moustafa Thabet, an information security specialist, and attended by Dr. Mohamed Khafagy, Dean of the Faculty, faculty members, and students.

The seminar is part of a series of academic events organized by the College under the patronage of Engineer Mohamed El-Rashidi, Chairman of the University's Board of Trustees, and Dr. Hossam El-Malahy, President of the University. The event aims to enhance students' knowledge and connect them to modern technology and the reality of digital security.

During the lecture, Dr. Thabet discussed the nature of dark web sites, their risks, and the reality of their use. He also discussed the importance of raising digital awareness among young people to avoid falling prey to the risks associated with the dark web. He also offered practical advice on how to protect personal data and browse safely online.

The seminar witnessed a significant attendance from students who interacted with the lecturer through discussions and questions that enriched the dialogue and highlighted the importance of the topic in light of the growing challenges in the field of cybersecurity.

It's worth noting that the Faculty of Computer Science at Badya University includes five majors: Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence and Data Science, Bio-Artificial Intelligence, and Information Technology.
