PM tracks economic body reform, restructuring

Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, held a meeting today to monitor the committee's efforts in reforming and restructuring economic bodies. The Prime Minister reiterated the significance of these restructuring steps as part of the Egyptian government's comprehensive economic reform agenda.

He emphasized the importance of monitoring the restructuring of economic bodies to achieve the desired goals, reflecting the government's commitment to this process.

Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, reported that the committee tasked with studying economic body restructuring is proceeding with its evaluation of the required steps to ensure alignment and integration with the government's economic reform initiatives aimed at bolstering the Egyptian economy's competitiveness.

During the meeting, Ahmed Kouchouk, Minister of Finance, presented the Ministry's efforts to follow up on the necessary financial procedures for the structuring of economic bodies.

Dr. Hussein Issa, Advisor to the Minister of Planning and Economic Development and Head of the Technical Secretariat for the Committee on Economic Body Reform and Restructuring, presented the outcomes of the committee's past consultations and study concerning the structuring of economic bodies and the required actions for the upcoming phase.

The meeting was also attended by Lieutenant General Osama Rabie, Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority, Walid Gamal El-Din, Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone, Counselor Mohamed El-Faisal, Head of the Central Auditing Organization, Yasser Sobhy, Deputy Minister of Finance, and officials from several relevant entities.
