Farouk explained that the price of a kilogram of frozen poultry in consumer complexes has been reduced to EGP 125, down from EGP 135. This is part of the state's efforts to ease the burden on citizens and provide food alternatives at reasonable prices compared to the market prices set by traders.
He also confirmed that consumer complexes are operating efficiently to provide all food commodities, noting that daily monitoring is ongoing to ensure price stability and the availability of required quantities.
The Minister stressed that the Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade continues to implement its policy aimed at building a large strategic stockpile of basic food commodities, meat, and poultry, to achieve market balance and provide safe food at fair prices to citizens.
