The New Egyptian Countryside Development Company, led by Major General Amr Abdel Wahab, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Mervat Sultan Charitable Foundation, represented by Counselor Abdel Aziz Hassouna, to collaborate on the "Blindness Causes Screening and Treatment Initiative" within the 1.5 million acres national project's West Minya extension.

The agreement, witnessed by Dr. Engineer Venus Fayed, commits the company to funding a free medical convoy on May 23rd in West Minya. This convoy will offer medical examinations, medication, eyeglasses, and surgeries to residents in and around Minya Governorate as part of the "Egypt in Our Eyes" initiative to combat blindness and visual impairment. The goal is to improve healthcare access and quality of life in the project areas.

Major General Abdel Wahab emphasized that this initiative aligns with the company's social responsibility strategy, highlighting healthcare as crucial for developing new rural communities. He stated the cooperation supports sustainable development, particularly in health and education, aiming to provide essential services, including healthcare, to project beneficiaries, in line with the state's focus on sustainable development and citizens in new communities.

He further noted that the partnership with the Mervat Sultan Charitable Foundation enhances the company's efforts to provide quality services in the 1.5 million acres project areas, underscoring the importance of healthcare in comprehensive development. This initiative demonstrates the company's commitment to comprehensive development and improving the well-being of citizens within the national project by providing essential support and services.
