Farouk: Egypt's agricultural exports exceed 2.7 million tons

Alaa Farouk, Minister of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, announced today, Thursday, that Egyptian agricultural exports exceeded 2.7 million tons during the first quarter of this year )2025/2026), from January 1 to the end of March 2025.

According to a report he received from Dr. Mohamed El-Mansy, Head of the Egyptian Agricultural Quarantine Authority, the most important agricultural exports are citrus fruits, fresh potatoes, fresh onions, sweet potatoes, pomegranates, fresh garlic, fresh strawberries, beans (fresh and dried), guava, and fresh tomatoes.

Total agricultural exports of citrus fruits amounted to 1,328,902 tons, in addition to the export of 492,763 tons of fresh potatoes, ranking second in agricultural exports after citrus fruits, while 96,313 tons of beans (fresh + dry) were exported, ranking third in exports. Potatoes ranked fourth with a total of 77,458 tons, and strawberries ranked fifth.

With a total of 29,162 tons, fresh tomatoes ranked sixth in agricultural exports with a total of 28,195 tons, while onions ranked seventh in exports with a total of 26,410 tons, while Egypt’s garlic exports ranked eighth with a total amount of 9,745 tons, while Egypt’s guava exports ranked ninth with a total of 7,835 tons, while pomegranates ranked last in exports with a total of 2,372 tons.
