Arab Financial Inclusion Day: Free bank accounts for citizens

On the occasion of "Arab Financial Inclusion Day," employees from banks operating across the Egyptian market are actively engaging with citizens outside their branch locations to deliver a comprehensive range of financial services. This nationwide initiative, running until the end of April, is being held under the patronage and supervision of the Central Bank of Egypt.

This outreach aims to enhance financial inclusion by providing accessible and convenient services to a wider segment of the population. The services being offered free of charge include:

Opening accounts for citizens free of charge and without a minimum balance.

Issuance of prepaid cards.

Issuance of debit cards.

Issuance of electronic wallet.

Providing internet and mobile banking services.

Offering financial literacy and awareness activities.

Bank employees are present in various community hubs, including universities, sports clubs, youth centers, and other gathering places, ensuring maximum reach and engagement. This initiative is further strengthened by the Central Bank of Egypt's robust partnerships with numerous key entities dedicated to promoting financial inclusion, such as the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the National Council for Women.
