Electricity Ministry, Schneider Electric collaborate on network improvements

Dr. Mahmoud Esmat, Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, and Sébastien Riez, Regional President of Schneider Electric discussed ways of cooperation in various fields regarding energy efficiency, rationalizing electricity consumption, preventing current waste, adhering to quality standards in the provided electrical services, and improving performance rates in distribution networks.

This aligns with the ministry's strategic plan to upgrade and monitor networks and control centers, address violations, and curb electricity theft. The plan also focuses on immediately improving electrical supply quality, ensuring stable and sustainable power, reducing technical and commercial losses, protecting electricity usage rights, and delivering consistent service quality to subscribers.

During the meeting, with Deputy Minister Eng. Sabah Mashaly and Assistant Minister Mohamed Deabees, they discussed expanding cooperation to develop and modernize control centers and distribution networks. Specific areas included localizing the production of advanced electrical equipment, implementing modern network monitoring and energy management systems, and utilizing technology to optimize load distribution throughout the day. These steps support the ministry's goals to enhance service delivery, improve power quality, reduce losses, combat theft, and improve performance rates in the networks.
