The visit comes as Egypt looks to capitalize on a record-breaking year for agricultural exports, which surged past $11.5 billion in 2025 across fresh and processed categories. The three-day event, running from February 4-6, serves as a strategic platform for Egypt to expand its footprint in European and Asian markets.
Minister Farouk is scheduled to hold high-level meetings
with global firms and investors specializing in agricultural processing and
packaging. He aims to showcase investment opportunities within Egypt’s recent
national agricultural mega-projects.
"Fruit Logistica is a vital window to the latest
innovations in agritech and AI-driven supply chains," Farouk said. He
noted that the strong reputation of Egyptian crops, specifically oranges and
potatoes, allows the country to compete aggressively in the heart of Europe.
The Minister will also inspect the Egyptian pavilion, which
hosts a delegation of the country's top exporters. Farouk emphasized that the
ministry is working closely with relevant authorities to ensure all shipments
meet the highest international phytosanitary and quality standards.
"We are committed to providing technical and political support to Egyptian products to reinforce foreign consumer confidence in the 'Made in Egypt' brand," he added.
