El-Araby Group hosts UNIDO delegation to advance industrial innovation, sustainability

El-Araby Group received a high-level delegation from the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) at its factories in Quesna, Menoufia Governorate. The visit aimed to strengthen cooperation in climate innovation, industrial sustainability, and applications of the Montreal Protocol, supporting Egypt’s efforts to transition to a low-emission green economy. The delegation included UNIDO’s Climate Innovation Director, Montreal Protocol Director, Montreal Protocol Project Manager, and Administrative Officer. They reviewed the latest developments of El-Araby Group in industrial and technological fields, particularly research and development, energy efficiency, and the use of environmentally friendly alternatives.

Eng. Mohamed Magdy El-Araby, CEO of Research and Development at El-Araby Group, said the company places environmental sustainability at the top of its priorities. He noted that cooperation with UNIDO represents an important step in supporting industrial innovation. He added that modern industry cannot be separated from environmental protection and emphasized that the company continuously develops its production processes in line with international sustainability standards. He also highlighted plans to strengthen collaboration with UNIDO in applying advanced climate-friendly technologies.

He stressed that El-Araby’s strategy supports technological transformation within the group, especially in developing high-efficiency products with a lower environmental impact. He highlighted the role of the Research and Development Center in applied innovation that serves the Sustainable Development Goals and the adoption of multiple technological alternatives to reduce carbon emissions. Examples include variable-speed inverter compressors, AIoT technology, and microchannel technology, which help lower emissions, reduce electricity consumption, and improve energy efficiency in household appliances such as air conditioners and refrigerators.

The visit reflects UNIDO’s commitment to supporting Egypt’s industrial sector and promoting partnerships with major national industrial entities. These partnerships facilitate technology transfer, capacity building, and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals in accordance with international standards.
