US dollar stabilizes against Egyptian pound Tuesday

The US dollar maintained a steady exchange rate against the Egyptian pound during today’s session, Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Data from the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) and major commercial banks showed no significant fluctuations compared to yesterday’s close, reflecting a period of relative calm in the foreign exchange market.

According to the Central Bank of Egypt, the dollar was recorded at EGP 47.09 for purchase and EGP 47.22 for sale. Across other local banks, purchase prices fluctuated within a narrow range between EGP 47.02 and EGP 47.09.
