Ministry of Finance unveils new tax incentives for real estate sector

The Ministry of Finance has unveiled a comprehensive plan to increase tax incentives in the real estate sector in the coming period, Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk announced.

Kouchouk revealed that the ministry aims to implement 10 new measures within the real estate tax system to simplify procedures and reduce the tax burden on citizens and investors. These include raising the exemption threshold for private housing to EGP 4 million.

He added that the measures also allow for tax relief in applicable cases, as part of a government vision based on openness, simplification, and the promotion of competition and exports.

The minister emphasized that the economic vision focuses on creating new opportunities for competition and exports for all companies operating in Egypt. It also aims to support competitive sectors and activities with proper backing, enabling the private sector to lead economic growth, generate jobs, and create real additional income.
