The meeting focused on the long-standing economic partnership between Egypt and the United States, which forms a key pillar of the strategic relations between the two countries.
Abdelatty emphasized Egypt’s commitment to strengthening
economic, trade, and investment cooperation with the United States. He
highlighted the Egyptian–American Economic Forum held in Cairo in May 2025,
which saw broad participation from major American companies and helped enhance
collaboration between the governments and private sectors of both countries. He
also expressed anticipation for the second edition of the forum, scheduled for
the first half of 2026, aiming to further institutional cooperation between the
business communities of both nations and open new opportunities for investment
partnerships.
The Minister outlined Egypt’s competitive advantages for
investors, noting that the country’s strategic geographic location, advanced
infrastructure, extensive network of free trade agreements, and regional supply
chains make it a central hub for accessing African, Middle Eastern, and
European markets.
Abdelatty stressed that the next phase will focus on
expanding ties between the Egyptian and US business communities across
promising sectors, including industry, logistics, energy, digital
infrastructure, pharmaceuticals and healthcare systems, and tourism. These
efforts aim to attract new investments, boost exports, and create job
opportunities across various fields.
