Engineer Ahmed Abdelkader, Head of the Executive Authority for Drinking Water and Wastewater, along with senior authority officials, inspected several ongoing wastewater projects in Alexandria Governorate.

Abdelkader began the tour by visiting Main Pumping Station 2 at the Abu Talat wastewater project. The station is nearing completion, with operational testing scheduled to start soon.

He and his entourage also inspected the wastewater project in the Margham Qibli area along the desert road, which consists of three pumping stations and a 59-kilometer gravity sewer network, including Main Pumping Station No. 2.

Abdelkader and his entourage then visited the rehabilitation and expansion project of the wastewater treatment plant using the oxidation pond system in New Borg El Arab City, and the Abis 1 Wastewater Treatment Plant. The Abis 1 plant has a capacity of 25,000 cubic meters per day and serves Abis 1 Village and the Khorshid Al Qebleyah area.

The head of the authority also reviewed the expansions at Wastewater Pumping Station 11 East, which help reduce the load on the El Soyof Pumping Station.

Abdelkader and his entourage received detailed briefings on the remaining work at all projects. They emphasized the need to complete the works on schedule while strictly adhering to occupational safety and health standards.
