Amawi indicated that the air freight ACI system is based on
a unified platform that ensures fast and efficient electronic document
exchange, facilitating procedures for importers and exporters. He explained
that the mandatory use of electronic signatures guarantees the integrity of
procedures and minimizes human error in customs clearance.
He added that the system ensures the quality and safety of
goods arriving by air before they reach Egypt, enabling authorities to prevent
substandard or non-compliant products from entering local markets.
Amawi also stressed that efforts are underway to open new
horizons for maximizing national exports and enhancing their access to global
markets.
