The Cabinet’s Media Center said on Monday that these efforts
have strengthened global companies’ confidence in Egypt’s investment climate.
The center added that Egypt has become an attractive destination for
investments in mobile phone and electronics manufacturing.
The Media Center explained that Egypt has succeeded in
attracting 15 global brands, including Samsung, OPPO, Vivo, and Nokia. The
total production capacity has reached about 20 million units annually, with
investments estimated at 200 million dollars.
The center noted that this progress aligns with Fitch
Ratings’ praise for Egypt’s partnerships with these brands. It added that such
cooperation has enhanced Egypt’s position as a key manufacturing hub for
smartphone exports to Africa and the Middle East.
