EgyptAir cancels today's flights to Erbil, Baghdad, Amman, Beirut

The Ministry of Civil Aviation clarified that, in light of Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport receiving five flights operated by Jordanian airlines this morning, which were diverted due to the temporary closure of some airspace in the region, the five flights departed Sharm El-Sheikh Airport for their scheduled destinations. This was done after taking all necessary operational and precautionary measures and providing all required support, in accordance with the highest international aviation safety standards.

EgyptAir canceled its flights today to Erbil, Baghdad, Amman, and Beirut until the airspace is reopened and air traffic is resumed.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation confirmed the regularity of air traffic in Egyptian airspace and at all airports nationwide, noting that it is closely monitoring developments in the situation through its central operations and crisis management rooms, in full coordination with various relevant agencies and authorities in the Egyptian state. It also coordinates continuously with relevant international authorities until the airspace of some neighboring countries is reopened, while closely monitoring all regional and international developments.
