The Minister of Housing toured the sites where 5,016 low-income housing units (fifth phase) are being built in the ninth residential district. With an average completion rate, he checked on the status of utility and service work, which includes two elementary schools, three markets, one health unit, two nurseries, and a mosque. The minister directed that progress be monitored every 15 days to track the project's completion rates, push for its conclusion, expedite the services being implemented, and remove waste.
The Minister also inspected several roads and main axes in
the city. He directed that waste be removed, that greenery be maintained, that
land on both sides of the road be utilized and offered for investment, and that
cleaning work be prioritized.
Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny also inspected the progress of
utility projects for industrial lands and the construction of a bridge over the
electric fast-train track in New Borg El Arab City, accompanied by officials
from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the city's agency.
He toured the industrial land utility project site, where he
received a detailed explanation of the ongoing work. This includes internal
utilities for drinking water, sewage, and road paving in the industrial complex
area on the eastern central axis and east of the fifth industrial zone, in
addition to electricity and telecommunications networks for the small
industrial complex on the central axis.
In this context, officials from the New Borg El Arab City
agency explained that the projects under construction include utility works
(water, sewage, paving, and electricity) for the industrial complex area
spanning 97 acres, as well as utility works (water, sewage, paving, and electricity)
for the area east of the fifth industrial zone, which covers 123 acres and
contains 70 plots for various industries.
The Minister of Housing and his companions then moved to the
site where a bridge is being built over the electric fast-train track in the
city.
El-Sherbiny emphasized the importance of adhering to the specified timelines for utility work at the industrial complex and accelerating the pace of work to complete all utilities in the area.
