Cairo Airport operations back to normal after telecom outage

Cairo International Airport announced Tuesday that operations have returned to normal after a sudden disruption to telecommunications and internet networks caused flight delays. All affected flights have now departed.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation stated that the airport's operating systems across all passenger terminals have been fully restored. This was achieved through the implementation of alternative solutions, in coordination with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and other relevant state authorities.

Airport operational teams are continuing to work efficiently to ensure continuous performance and close monitoring of all technical and operational systems. This ongoing effort aims to guarantee the provision of high-quality services to travelers, adhering to the highest safety and quality standards.

The disruptions, which began Monday evening, were attributed to a fire at the Ramses exchange.
