MasterCard collaborates with PayTabs to support SMEs in Egypt

Mastercard announced a strategic partnership with PayTabs Group to facilitate digital payment solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Egypt.

As part of this collaboration, PayTabs will leverage the capabilities of MasterCard's global network to enable a branded digital payments platform. This collaboration aims to enhance SMEs' ability to accept payments, support the widespread adoption of contactless payments, and accelerate the country's digital transformation agenda.

The platform will provide small businesses with fast, secure, and cost-effective solutions that can be customized to facilitate digital payment acceptance. Thanks to its flexible user interface, merchants can quickly create payment links, reducing time and effort compared to traditional methods. The platform also enhances efficiency through seamless integration with existing business systems and offers additional features such as QR codes to enhance the digital payment experience.

The platform also provides a seamless and convenient payment experience, especially for mobile users. Payment links enable easy transactions, enabling customers to complete their payments quickly and securely. By improving cash flow management and reducing reliance on cash, the platform contributes to the integration of more businesses and customers into the formal financial system.

Karim Eyada, General Manager of PayTabs in Egypt, said: "We are delighted to partner with Mastercard to bring integrated, branded payment solutions to the Egyptian market. We support the country's efforts to create a cashless society and enhance access to digital payments through the launch of this modern platform. We also contribute to empowering small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to expand into the digital economy. By partnering with Mastercard, we aim to increase the volume of digital transactions, expand the scope of online payments, and improve the overall user experience for both merchants and customers in Egypt."

Mohamed Assem, General Manager of Mastercard in Egypt, Iraq, and Lebanon, said: "At Mastercard, we believe in the importance of working together to develop a strong infrastructure and drive positive change that benefits businesses and consumers, contributing to a more inclusive and sustainable future for Egypt. In partnership with PayTabs, we are introducing a new generation of payment solutions that will support the advancement of the SME sector in Egypt, enhance its role in the digital transformation, and contribute to long-term economic resilience."

PayTabs was founded in 2014, to be the first Saudi company specializing in financial technology, providing smooth and secure e-commerce solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. As a payments infrastructure company, PayTabs supports digital transactions in the Middle East and North Africa region by providing simple, secure, and scalable solutions that enhance local commerce and promote financial inclusion in the region.
