Discussions also focused on expanding existing projects and creating new partnerships, particularly for Egypt Aluminium Company, to increase capacity and diversify with products such as aluminium wires, car rims, and foil, to strengthen local industry, the national economy, and replace imports.
Minister Shimi stressed the importance of strengthening
partnerships with global companies, adopting advanced technologies, and
developing local industries to boost the Ministry's subsidiaries' production
and competitiveness, thereby enhancing their contribution to the economy,
exports, and import reduction.
The consortium representatives conveyed their keen interest
in the Egyptian market, emphasizing their desire to explore its investment potential.
They commended Egypt's investment environment and the economic reforms that
have made it increasingly attractive.
This meeting comes within the framework of the Ministry of Public Business Sector's efforts to support and enhance cooperation with international partners and attract investments, in line with the state's vision to achieve sustainable development and enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian industry on a global level.
