El-Minshawi, a long-time veteran of the ministry, was received by senior officials and staff. She expressed her pride in the political leadership’s confidence and called for a unified team spirit to continue Egypt’s sweeping urban development program.
In her first address to ministry leadership, the new
minister emphasized the need for synergy between various departments and
affiliated bodies. She outlined a strategy focused on increasing the pace of
work on ongoing national mega-projects, improving the standard of utilities and
services provided to citizens, and ensuring that urban expansion aligns with
long-term sustainable development goals.
The Minister noted that her tenure would see enhanced
monitoring and coordination mechanisms. "The next phase will focus on
supporting our human resources and upgrading institutional performance to meet
the aspirations of both the state and the people," she said.
Ministry staff welcomed the appointment of an internal candidate, citing her extensive technical experience within the housing and utilities sectors as a key asset for the ministry's future success.
