Farouk cuts frozen poultry price to EGP 100 per kilo

Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, directed the Holding Company for Food Industries to reduce the price of frozen poultry to EGP 100 per kilogram, in coordination with the Future of Egypt for Sustainable Development Authority.

Farouk confirmed that frozen poultry at the new price will be available starting Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at all consumer complexes, “Ahlan Ramadan” exhibitions, as well as all fixed and mobile outlets affiliated with the Holding Company for Food Industries, ensuring availability for citizens across all governorates.

The minister explained that the decision comes as part of the state’s efforts to increase the supply of strategic commodities and regulate markets, especially with the approach of Ramadan. He noted that coordination with all relevant authorities continues to ensure the sustained availability of goods at fair prices and appropriate quality.

It is worth noting that yesterday the price of frozen poultry was reduced to EGP 115 per kilogram from EGP 120, before today’s new reduction, bringing the total cut to EGP 20 per kilogram. The move reflects the state’s swift and effective measures to support citizens and ease the cost of living.
