Fujifilm’s executives reviewed their portfolio of projects in Egypt, which includes the Fujifilm Academy in Cairo for training Egyptian doctors and technicians, as well as ongoing collaboration with the Unified Procurement Authority. The company has trained over 500 Egyptian medical professionals to date. They also presented a new project under development for early cancer detection in Egypt using artificial intelligence technologies, in partnership with the Egyptian private sector, following successful models implemented in India and other countries.
El-Etreby emphasized Egypt’s keenness to deepen cooperation
with Fujifilm, highlighting the significant opportunities available in light of
the expansion of Egypt’s healthcare infrastructure and the substantial
incentives offered to Japanese investors, particularly in the Suez Canal
Economic Zone.
The two sides agreed to maintain communication and exchange
information, and to explore new cooperation opportunities in medical technology
and joint manufacturing, aiming to promote technology transfer and support the
development of Egypt’s healthcare sector.
