President Sisi heads to Davos for WEF, set to meet Trump

President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi arrived in Davos on Tuesday to participate in the World Economic Forum (WEF), held this year under the theme "The Spirit of Dialogue."

The summit, running from January 19 to 23, gathers global heads of state, leaders of international organizations, and top private sector executives to address pressing global challenges.

Presidential spokesperson Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy said the forum’s agenda focuses on bolstering international cooperation, driving global prosperity, and leveraging technology and innovation as engines for growth. Discussions will also highlight the importance of investing in human capital.

On the sidelines of the forum, Sisi is scheduled to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump. The two leaders are expected to discuss the latest regional and international developments of mutual concern. The meeting aims to enhance coordination and cooperation between Cairo and Washington to serve bilateral interests and promote regional and international stability, according to the spokesperson.
