Egyptian expat remittances jump 42.8% in first 10 months

Remittances from Egyptians working abroad reached a record $33.9 billion during the first ten months of 2025, a significant increase from the $23.7 billion recorded during the same period last year, the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) announced.
The figures, covering January to October, represent a surge
in one of Egypt’s primary sources of foreign currency.
On a monthly basis, remittances in October 2025 rose by
26.2% to reach $3.7 billion, compared to approximately $2.9 billion in October
2024.
