Sir Mohamed Mansour, Chairman of the Group, stated that construction and equipping of the new plant are scheduled to be completed by September 2026, with manufacturing operations set to begin before the end of December 2026.
Mansour estimated that the project is expected to save the
equivalent of $500 million annually in foreign currency that would otherwise be
used to import vehicles.
He added that the new factory, which will be built on an
area of 30 feddans in 6th of October City, is anticipated to create between 5,000
and 6,000 direct and indirect job opportunities for young people.
Mansour described the new facility as a significant step toward localizing and supporting the domestic industry, not only for manufacturing modern vehicles to cover the Egyptian market but also for exporting abroad.
