During the meeting, Dr. Abdelatty underscored the importance of building on the momentum from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's visit to Norway last December. He affirmed Egypt's full support for Scatec's projects within the country, recognizing their role in bolstering trade and investment ties between Egypt and Norway. The Minister also expressed a desire for Scatec to expand its investments in Egypt, particularly in the company's initiative to export clean electricity to Europe.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs highlighted Egypt's commitment to empowering the private sector and attracting foreign direct investment, reassuring Scatec of the government's support for foreign companies operating in Egypt. He noted that Scatec's projects align with Egypt's strategic shift towards a green economy and its ambition to become a global hub for green hydrogen production. Furthermore, the Minister proposed trilateral cooperation with Scatec on development projects in Africa, especially in the renewable energy sector.
