El-Sherbiny follows up on Great Transfiguration project in St. Catherine

Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Sherif El-Sherbiny, held a meeting Sunday evening to review progress on the Great Transfiguration project in Saint Catherine City, Sinai. Officials from the Ministry of Housing, the Central Agency for Reconstruction, and the implementing companies, attended the meeting.

The meeting reviewed progress on the Peace Building and Plaza, Wadi El Deir development, the "Al-Imtedad" eco-lodge in Wadi El Raha, and the Al-Zaytouna hotel resort. The Minister directed the completion of works within the specified timeframe.

El-Sherbiny also followed up on the progress of works and supplies, directing the rectification of observations noted during the recent visit to the project at the Al-Zaytouna hotel resort, the completion of all works in the green spaces, and the regular monitoring of all activities.

The meeting also covered the status of the new Visitors Center building (the "Reception Building"), the development of the existing heritage city center starting from the Sacred Valley Mosque, the development of existing shops and the construction of new ones, and the development of Wadi El-Arba'een. In this regard, the Minister of Housing emphasized the importance of agriculture and the intensification of green spaces.

The executive status of the treatment plants in the heritage city and Al-Zaytouna, the Kamiin El-Nabi Saleh road (9 km long and 10 meters wide) up to the Visitors Center, and the progress of electricity networks were also reviewed.
