The project is being established on an area of 10.4 thousand square meters, with a total investment cost of 14 million euros, equivalent to 310 million Egyptian pounds, across two phases.
The first phase aims to build a factory for the
manufacturing and filling of composite LPG cylinders, with a production
capacity of up to 500,000 cylinders annually, using advanced technology in
accordance with international standards. This phase includes the transfer and
localization of technology, the establishment of the necessary infrastructure,
and the creation of 250 direct job opportunities.
The second phase aims to establish assembly lines for gas
pressure regulators and valves specific to the cylinders manufactured in the
first phase, with an investment cost of 7 million euros, with the goal of
localizing the manufacturing technology for these components.
The ceremony was attended by Ivan Jukl, the Ambassador of
the Czech Republic in Cairo, for the project being implemented by the Egyptian
company "Treegas" in cooperation with the Czech company HPC, which is
the technological partner for the project.
The Czech Ambassador affirmed that there are more
opportunities for cooperation with Czech investments and the Suez Canal
Economic Zone. He appreciated the efforts made by the SCZONE to encourage its
investors to export and reach various markets. He also expressed his admiration
that the Treegas project seeks to be a regional player in the field of
manufacturing composite LPG cylinders.
It is worth noting that this project represents a partnership between the Egyptian company Treegas and the Czech company HPC Research, with the participation of a number of local companies, including Ebdaa for Projects, Petrogas, and Butagasco, in addition to the contribution of private sector investors. The aim is to transfer and localize the technology for manufacturing composite cylinders in Egypt, including the design and production of equipment and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), while adhering to international quality standards (ISO 11119-3).
