Egypt exports 150,000 cubic meters of LNG to Turkey for TotalEnergies

Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources announced the export of a liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipment from the Idku liquefaction complex.

The cargo, transported by the "LNG ENDURANCE" vessel belonging to TotalEnergies, departed the Idku port heading for Turkey. The shipment volume amounts to approximately 150,000 cubic metres of LNG.

The export of this cargo aligns with the Ministry's strategy to incentivise global companies to boost their investments in the natural gas sector, through supporting exploration activities and enhancing local production.

In this context, the Ministry is cooperating with TotalEnergies to expand its deepwater investments in the Mediterranean Sea by implementing ambitious exploration projects.

TotalEnergies also benefits from Egypt's advanced gas liquefaction infrastructure, which contributes to accelerating development operations and reducing operational costs.
