Under the leadership of Omar Hisham, the Egyptian Golf
Federation announced the organization of four major international tournaments
in the coming weeks. The first is the 104th Egyptian Open Amateur Championship
for Men at Dreamland Golf Club, which will be joined for the first time by the
Egyptian Senior Open, bringing together multiple generations of golf players.
The second is the Egyptian Open Championships for Juniors and Women Amateurs at
New Giza Golf Club, reflecting the federation’s focus on youth and women’s
golf. The third is the revival of the Egyptian Open, first held in 1921 and
considered one of the most prestigious professional championships outside
Europe. After more than 15 years, it returns this year and will be hosted at
Madinaty Golf Club. Finally, the federation will launch a brand-new
international tournament as part of the Asian Tour, designed to attract top
international players to Egypt and further establish the country as a leading
golf destination.
