Prime Minister Dr. Moustafa Madbouly, on Monday, met with Engineer Mahmoud Esmat, the Minister of Electricity and Renewable Energy, at the government headquarters in New Alamein City. The purpose of the meeting was to review the progress of providing electricity to agricultural development projects in the New Delta.

The Prime Minister emphasized that the meeting highlights the government’s commitment to strengthening the national power grid and ensuring a stable electricity supply for all sectors. This is a crucial part of the state's plan to establish new agricultural, industrial, and urban communities as part of its sustainable development goals.

During the discussion, Minister Esmat presented a detailed report on the ongoing and completed electricity supply work for the New Delta's agricultural reclamation projects. He outlined how mobile power stations are being used to provide temporary power and the progress made in establishing new, permanent power stations of various capacities. The Minister underscored that the electricity sector receives strong government support, as it is seen as a cornerstone of comprehensive and sustainable development.

Finally, Minister Esmat also addressed the ministry’s current efforts to maintain a reliable power supply. He noted the unprecedented surge in electricity consumption due to rising temperatures and confirmed that the ministry is in full coordination with the Ministry of Petroleum to secure the necessary fuel for power plants.
