During the discussion, Minister Esmat presented a detailed
report on the ongoing and completed electricity supply work for the New Delta's
agricultural reclamation projects. He outlined how mobile power stations are
being used to provide temporary power and the progress made in establishing
new, permanent power stations of various capacities. The Minister underscored
that the electricity sector receives strong government support, as it is seen
as a cornerstone of comprehensive and sustainable development.
Finally, Minister Esmat also addressed the ministry’s current efforts to maintain a reliable power supply. He noted the unprecedented surge in electricity consumption due to rising temperatures and confirmed that the ministry is in full coordination with the Ministry of Petroleum to secure the necessary fuel for power plants.
