The initiative, led by MSMEDA's offices nationwide, is part of a broader effort to raise awareness of state-backed programs and services designed to help citizens start new ventures or expand current ones. The agency's plan also includes field visits to industrial zones and production hubs to address challenges faced by small investors.
In a statement, MSMEDA CEO Bassel Rahmy said the courses are
designed to encourage citizens and youth to pursue entrepreneurship by
equipping them with the skills to launch distinct, economically viable projects
that create stable jobs.
The seminars also inform existing business owners about
services aimed at improving profitability and provide details on supportive
legislation, including law No. 152 of 2020 on SME development and law No. 6 of
2025 on tax incentives.
Rahmy noted that the events, organized in coordination with
governorates and universities, specifically target young graduates and women,
teaching them how to establish businesses, conduct feasibility studies, and
secure financing.
In addition to the training, MSMEDA branches will visit
industrial areas throughout August to identify and help resolve challenges
facing small investors, providing them with necessary financing and technical
support.
Rahmy added that the informational seminars are key to
encouraging informal businesses to formalize their operations, allowing them to
benefit from legal protections and incentives. He urged citizens to attend
these events by contacting local MSMEDA branches or calling the hotline at
16733.
The agency's governorate-level activities include:
Sharqia: Organizing awareness seminars on MSMEDA programs
and participating in a committee to help businesses legalize their status.
Qalyubia: The office participated in a graduation projects
marathon at Banha University to promote its services and held e-marketing
training sessions for business owners in July.
Ismailia: An exhibition for handicrafts and heritage
products was organized in cooperation with the Directorate of Youth and Sports.
Red Sea: Field visits are planned to the industrial complex in Hurghada to assess the needs of factory owners and raise awareness of supportive laws.
