The announcement comes amid ongoing developments in Egypt’s
electronics manufacturing sector, which has attracted increasing interest from
global technology firms. Infinix, however, aims to take local production a step
further, moving from mid-range models to high-spec smartphones, a move seen as a
milestone in the country’s tech industry.
According to leaks, the new devices are expected to feature
AI-powered processors, high-resolution cameras, AMOLED displays with high
refresh rates, and fast-charging capabilities.
The company says the initiative builds on its existing local
manufacturing efforts and reflects its intention to further develop the skills
of local engineers and technicians.
While the smartphones are designed to meet global standards,
their local assembly gives them a distinctly Egyptian dimension.
The official name of the new series has not yet been
announced. However, Infinix is expected to unveil the devices at a major event
in Egypt, attended by media professionals, distribution partners, and content
creators.
