The dollar exchange rate against the Egyptian pound witnessed slight stability today, Tuesday, May 20, 2025, during early morning trading in banks, as local markets monitored any new movements in exchange rates. The dollar exchange rate at the Central Bank of Egypt was recorded at approximately EGP 49.98 for purchase and EGP 50.17 for sale. At major banks, the dollar exchange rate today against the Egyptian pound was as follows:

National Bank of Egypt: Buying EGP 49.99, Selling EGP 50.00

Banque Misr: : Buying EGP 49.99, Selling EGP 50.00

Banque du Caire: Buying EGP 50.00, Selling EGP 50.10

Commercial International Bank (CIB): Buying EGP 49.99, Selling EGP 50.00

Alexandria Bank: Buying EGP 49.99, Selling EGP 50.10

Relative stability in the dollar exchange rate against the pound

These movements come amid relative stability in the exchange market, amid anticipation of possible changes in the price of the dollar in the coming days, especially as the local market is linked to regional and global developments, the price of ounces globally, and the performance of other foreign currencies.
