The championship will feature over 110 players from 13 countries: Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt (the host country).
The Arab Golf Federation and the Egyptian Golf Federation
have approved the various competition categories, namely: Ladies, Girls Under
16, Girls Under 13, Boys Under 18, Boys Under 16, and Boys Under 13. Katameya
Dunes Golf Club will host the Boys and Girls Under 13 divisions, while Madinaty
Golf Club will host the remaining five divisions.
Team competitions will be conducted in all divisions, with
the exception of the Girls Under 13 division, which will be managed as a
developmental experience. The Boys and Girls Under 13 competitions will be
contested over 36 holes, while the other divisions will be played over 54
holes.
Omar Hisham Talaat Moustafa, President of the Egyptian Golf
Federation, stated: "With just a few days remaining until the Arab
Championship commences on May 7th, we are all highly enthusiastic about hosting
this significant tournament, which holds an important place on the Arab Golf
Federation (AGF) calendar. We extend our gratitude to the AGF for their
invaluable support, cooperation, and all the dedicated efforts to ensure the
success of this event." He further added, "This championship
represents the culmination of collaborative efforts between the Arab and
Egyptian Federations to organize one of the premier amateur Arab golf
tournaments in the entire Arab world."
