The project is part of a strategic partnership between the AOI, Talaat Moustafa Group (TMG), and global manufacturer Schindler to localize the manufacturing, assembly, and testing of elevator components for Egyptian real estate projects.
During an inspection of two elevators in Madinaty's B8
district, Abdel Latif highlighted the AOI’s commitment to attracting investment
and fostering cooperation with major private sector and international entities.
The chairman noted that the project was launched following
rigorous engineering studies to leverage the manufacturing capabilities of the
AOI-affiliated Kader Factory for Developed Industries. The initiative aims to
incrementally increase local component ratios to reach full domestic
manufacturing.
"The AOI supports and encourages reliance on local
industry and the maximization of Egyptian components in various products,
including elevators," Abdel Latif said. He added that Egypt’s ongoing
urban expansion offers a golden opportunity for domestic industries to compete
and meet the needs of national projects.
Abdel Latif emphasized that the Arab-Swiss Elevator Company is committed to meeting the project’s timeline while adhering to international quality and environmental standards. He reaffirmed the AOI’s intent to participate in national projects led by the Ministry of Housing, state institutions, and the private sector.
