The meeting reviewed the progress of projects across several governorates, including drinking water and sanitation projects, treatment plants, and the extension and reinforcement of utility networks. It also examined plans to complete work in the remaining villages within the first phase of the “Decent Life” initiative, aiming to improve the level of services provided to citizens in rural areas.
The Minister emphasized that projects under the “Decent
Life” initiative remain a top priority on the ministry’s agenda, in line with
directives from the political leadership. She stressed the importance of
accelerating implementation, improving the quality of life for citizens in the
targeted villages, adhering to established timelines, maintaining continuous
field monitoring, and addressing any obstacles that may arise.
El-Minshawi also directed full coordination between the
ministry’s agencies, implementing companies, and concerned authorities. She
highlighted the need to increase workforce deployment at project sites to
ensure timely completion and handover of projects according to the highest
standards of quality and efficiency, with continuous monitoring and progress
oversight.
