Egyptian International Motors (EIM), the local agent for the Renault brand, has announced the first price reductions for Renault cars offered in the Egyptian market. The value of the reductions ranged between EGP 30 thousand and EGP 310 thousand on all models except for the "Duster" and the "Express" van, which prices have remained stable according to the latest list announced last January 11th.
Renault Taliant:
The compact
sedan "Taliant" received a discount of EGP 126,000 on both categories.
The car was first launched in the Egyptian market on November 9, 2023.
According to
the new list, the prices are now as follows:
Category 1
Evolution: EGP 799,000
Category 2
Techno: EGP 899,000
Powertrain:
The car relies
on a three-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1.0 liters connected to a
turbocharger to reach a power of 100 horsepower and a maximum torque of 140
Newton meters. This engine is connected to a CVT gearbox.
Renault Duster
The prices of
the subcompact SUV "Duster" continue to be stable in April of this
year according to the latest list that was revealed last January, which
received an increase of EGP 70,000 on the first category and EGP 90,000 on the
second category, as follows:

Powertrain:
The powertrain
relies on a four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1.6 liters capable of
generating 115 horsepower and a maximum torque of 165 Newton meters. It is
connected to a CVT automatic transmission.
Renault Megane
The prices of
the "Megane Grand Coupe" have decreased in the regular engine version
by EGP 190,000 on the first category, EGP 75,000 on the second category, EGP 30,000
on the third and fourth categories, and the first in the turbo version, while
the second category (turbo) received a discount of EGP 50,000. The discounts on
the turbo engine version, categories 3 and 4, amounted to EGP 80,000, while the
fifth category remains at the same prices as the January list.

The car starts
with two engine options: The first is with a capacity of 1.6 liters capable of
115 horsepower with a CVT automatic transmission, while the other is with a
capacity of 1.3 liters equipped with a turbocharger that can generate 150
horsepower, with a 7-speed dual-clutch sports gearbox (DCT).
Renault Austral
The discounts
on the compact SUV "Austral" amounted to EGP 310,000 on the
first category, EGP 190,000 on the second category, and EGP 180,000 on the
third category, while the fourth and fifth categories received a discount of EGP 170,000.

Powertrain:
The
"Austral" relies on a 1.3-liter engine connected to a turbocharger
that generates 150 horsepower with a maximum torque of 250 Newton meters. This
engine is connected to a CVT-X gearbox.
Renault Express
Finally, the
van's prices have been settled according to the latest list released, and it
comes with a 1.6-liter engine with a power of 115 horsepower.
