Egypt’s pavilion wins best award at EMITT in Istanbul

The Egyptian pavilion participating in the 29th edition of the EMITT International Tourism Fair, held from February 5 to 7 in Istanbul, Turkey, won the Best Pavilion Award.

The award was granted in recognition of the pavilion’s high-quality design, distinctive visual impact, and its reflection of the richness and diversity of Egypt’s tourism attractions and products.

Sherif Fathy, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities, received the award and expressed his appreciation for this achievement. He described the award as an international recognition of the excellence of the Egyptian pavilion. He stressed that it continues a series of awards won by Egyptian pavilions at various international tourism exhibitions held in 2025. He said this reflects the state’s clear vision of presenting Egypt as an integrated tourism destination that highlights the richness and diversity of its tourism attractions and products. He also praised the outstanding efforts of the team at the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority in ensuring the success of Egypt’s participation in international exhibitions through pavilion designs that reflect the grandeur of ancient Egyptian civilization and showcase the country’s tourism diversity, contributing to strengthening Egypt’s global tourism standing.

The Egyptian pavilion at the EMITT International Tourism Fair this year covered an area of 200 square meters and featured a unique Pharaonic-inspired design reflecting the depth of Egyptian civilization. It included a dedicated meeting room for high-level visitors, a hospitality area offering refreshments and light snacks, and several digital screens displaying promotional films about Egypt’s tourism destinations and products, particularly the Grand Egyptian Museum, one of the latest and most prominent attractions receiving wide international attention. A specialized henna artist was also present throughout the exhibition to add a distinctive cultural and heritage touch to the pavilion.

The pavilion hosted 18 exhibitors representing nine tourism companies, six hotel establishments, EgyptAir, Air Cairo, and an aviation services company, reflecting the integration and diversity of Egypt’s tourism product.
