The meeting was attended by officials from the Ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the head of Ras El-Hikma City Authority, who also oversees development sectors on the North Coast.
At the start of the meeting, the Minister received a
detailed briefing on the progress of work and land handover in the first phase
of Ras El-Hikma. He reviewed ongoing projects, including drinking water and
irrigation systems, a hotel, administrative offices, land surveying and
leveling, as well as the status of land handover and occupancy. He also
examined updates on projects in the alternative lands of the urgent phase in
the "Shams El-Hikma" area, which include roads, water, sanitation,
electricity, and irrigation, allocated for existing occupants. The Minister was
briefed on the progress of the experimental school and other services.
According to the plan, the alternative area will include residential, service,
commercial, and investment zones, in addition to the main road network. He also
reviewed the status of alternative lands south of the International Coastal
Road.
The Minister followed up on the latest developments in land
development in the new urban communities of Samala and Alam El-Rum, reviewing
land handover status, master plans, and updates on existing residents. A fully
serviced urban community will be implemented, providing essential services for
the local population.
At the conclusion of the meeting, El-Sherbiny directed the
preparation of periodic reports on land handovers and existing residents in the
development areas of Samala, Alam El-Rum, and Ras El-Hikma. He emphasized the
need for coordinated efforts among all entities working on the projects to
ensure timely completion with the highest quality.
