Fitur is recognized as one of the world's largest tourism markets, bringing together specialists and experts from across the global travel and aviation sectors.
During the event, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities,
Sherif Fathy, visited the EgyptAir pavilion, where he praised the airline’s
role in supporting inbound tourism and noted the development of its customer
services.
Pilot Ahmed Adel, Chairman of EgyptAir Holding Company,
stated that participation in such major exhibitions is vital for showcasing the
company’s latest services, fleet upgrades, and an international network that
connects various points globally.
He added that the carrier’s sales and marketing strategy
aims to attract increased traffic to Egypt’s diverse tourist destinations. "This
exhibition is a prime opportunity for tourism and aviation industry leaders, as
it hosts decision-makers from around the world," Adel said.
Pilot Mohamed Elyan, Chairman of EgyptAir Airlines, noted
that Fitur attracts a vast number of tourism agents and organizers, providing
an ideal platform for professional networking.
"The tourism sector is closely linked to aviation, with
tourist trips making up a significant portion of global flights," Elyan
said. He emphasized that EgyptAir seeks to increase its market share and expand
its presence in key tourism markets, leveraging Egypt's status as a top global
destination.
The EgyptAir team, led by Ashraf Rateb, Head of the Tourism
Sector “Karnak”, and Mohamed Moawad, Regional Manager for Spain, held numerous
meetings with major travel agents and tour operators. These discussions focused
on new marketing and promotional programs to enhance growth opportunities.
EgyptAir currently operates 16 weekly flights to Spain, including seven flights between Madrid and Cairo, six between Barcelona and Cairo, and three flights from Madrid and Barcelona to Luxor.
