HORIBA is one of Japan’s leading companies specializing in measurement and analysis instruments, environmental monitoring systems, automotive testing systems, as well as scientific and medical technologies.
During the visit, company executives delivered a comprehensive
presentation highlighting the company’s history spanning more than 70 years and
its pioneering role in developing advanced solutions serving the energy,
environment, semiconductor, automotive, and healthcare sectors.
El-Etreby emphasized that Egypt currently represents one of
the most attractive destinations for investment in Africa. He noted that this
position is supported by wide-ranging economic reforms, strong stability in the
business environment, the availability of robust infrastructure, and free trade
agreements that provide access to regional and international markets.
He also stressed that HORIBA’s technologies are fully
aligned with Egypt’s development priorities, particularly in the areas of air
and water quality monitoring, advanced automotive testing, and high-precision
medical and laboratory equipment.
The Ambassador discussed investment opportunities across
various economic sectors in Egypt that fall within the company’s areas of
expertise, as well as the advantages of establishing an investment presence in
the country. Both sides agreed to continue communication to explore future
partnership opportunities. This includes organizing a visit by a HORIBA
delegation to Egypt to meet with officials from relevant ministries, government
entities, and the private sector.
