In this context, EgyptAir announced the launch of a new
route connecting Cairo with Venice, Italy, starting June 2026. The route will
operate twice weekly, on Mondays and Fridays, according to the summer schedule,
using A320neo aircraft. These modern, fuel-efficient planes feature a
comfortable passenger cabin and advanced amenities, providing a premium travel
experience for all passenger segments.
The launch of the Venice route responds to growing demand
for travel between Egypt and Italy and strengthens connections to one of
Europe’s key tourist and cultural destinations.
With the addition of Venice, EgyptAir will operate 33 weekly
flights to Italy during the summer season. This includes 14 weekly flights to
Rome, 17 weekly flights to Milan, and two weekly flights to Venice.
Captain Ahmed Adel, Chairman and CEO of EgyptAir Holding
Company, said the new route is part of a comprehensive plan to expand the
international network, enhancing the airline’s competitiveness regionally and
globally. He highlighted that Europe is a key strategic market due to its
tourism and economic significance, along with the increasing demand for travel
to and from Egypt. Adel also reaffirmed the airline’s commitment to its
national role in supporting Egypt’s comprehensive development plans and
boosting air traffic to various tourist destinations.
Captain Mohamed Alyan, CEO of EgyptAir Airlines, confirmed
that adding Venice to the Italian network reflects the airline’s commitment to
meeting customer needs and offering diverse travel options. He noted that
increasing flights to Italy helps boost tourism to Egypt and strengthens
Cairo’s links with major European cities. Alyan added that the company
continues to implement its strategy to expand the route network by opening new
destinations.
