Al Wazir visits Djibouti to enhance industrial, transport cooperation

Minister of Industry and Transport, Lieutenant General Kamel Al Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development, headed to Djibouti today at the head of an official delegation including several heads of major Egyptian companies specializing in infrastructure and mega-projects. The visit aims to strengthen cooperation between the two countries in the industrial and transport sectors and support the participation of specialized Egyptian companies in implementing projects across various fields.

Al Wazir is scheduled to hold a series of important meetings with Djiboutian ministers and officials, visit several projects and ports, and attend the signing of contracts and memoranda of understanding between the two sides, contributing to a significant boost in bilateral cooperation.

The Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport emphasized that the visit reflects the deep ties between the two brotherly countries and follows the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to provide full support for the Djiboutian side across various projects. He confirmed the readiness of Egyptian companies, experienced in implementing major infrastructure projects in Egypt and in other Arab and African countries, to carry out projects in Djibouti, particularly those under the scope of the Ministries of Industry and Transport, including roads, maritime transport, railways, and industrial zones.
