Statistics showed record growth in passenger traffic, with
the total number of passengers traveling through Egyptian airports throughout
departure and arrival in 2025 reaching approximately 28 million, compared to
22.9 million in 2024, marking a 22.3 percent increase. This highlights the
growth in travel and tourism and the consistent operation across all airports.
The number of flights in 2025 reached around 209,800, up
from 173,800 in 2024, achieving a growth rate of 20.7 percent, reflecting high
operational efficiency and the sustainability of performance.
This growth coincided with a notable increase in
international travel to Egyptian airports, particularly those located in
tourist cities, during the winter season and Christmas holidays, driven by the
rising popularity of Egypt’s diverse tourist destinations.
In this context, the civil aviation system continues to
monitor airport operations around the clock to ensure the highest levels of
safety and security, maintain smooth passenger flow, and expedite procedures,
especially during peak periods, supporting operational efficiency and providing
the best level of service to travelers.
