Engineer Sherif El Sherbiny, Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, met with officials from the National Construction Company to discuss joint work files and areas of cooperation. The meeting was attended by representatives from the ministry, the New Urban Communities Authority, and the company.

At the start of the meeting, El Sherbiny emphasized that the discussion comes as part of efforts to regulate advertisements and signage on public roads and major thoroughfares in new cities. He highlighted the importance of enforcing the regulations governing these advertisements, ensuring they preserve the urban layout and comply with standards that enhance their visual appeal.

The Minister also stressed the importance of organizing and developing advertising along public roads and thoroughfares while ensuring compliance with aesthetic and environmental standards. He noted that developing the advertising system is not limited to visual considerations but also aims to maximize the state’s economic returns from utilizing these spaces, reduce visual pollution, and align advertisements with surrounding land uses and international standards.

The meeting addressed the current status of roadside advertising under the protocol signed between the Ministry of Housing, represented by the New Urban Communities Authority, and the National Construction Company. It also reviewed the company’s cooperation and efforts in regulating road signage in several new cities.
