TMG said a video published on the official SouthMED social
media pages showcased progress across various construction activities in the V1
and T1 villa zones. The footage confirmed that all concrete works for the first
phase are nearing completion. The video also highlighted continued progress in
road networks and infrastructure works. Marina construction is proceeding
according to the scheduled timelines.
SouthMED spans an area of 23 million square meters on the
North West Coast. TMG is developing the project as a world-class destination in
the southern Mediterranean, designed to rival some of the most prestigious
destinations in the northern Mediterranean, including the coasts of southern
France, Italy, Spain and Greece. The development aims to place Egypt’s North
Coast at the heart of international tourism and reshape the Mediterranean
tourism map, supported by its premium luxury destination components.
The project features an international marina to promote
yacht tourism, more than 60,000 diverse residential units with distinctive
views overlooking the sea, lagoons and golf courses, and more than 2,000 hotel
rooms. SouthMED also includes a world-class golf course, international retail
and commercial zones, and the largest entertainment city in the Middle East.
