The meeting follows directives from President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to expedite the move of diplomatic missions to the new city’s dedicated Diplomatic District.
Abdelatty praised the pivotal role of the ACUD in equipping
the district with modern infrastructure designed to meet international standards
and reflect Egypt’s civilized image.
The Minister was briefed on the progress of the relocation
process and the package of incentives offered to foreign missions to encourage
the transition. He emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring a smooth
and organized move by resolving any logistical challenges facing the diplomatic
community.
The Diplomatic District is a centerpiece of the multi-billion-dollar New Administrative Capital, located east of Cairo, designed to house government ministries, parliament, and foreign representations.
